Itโs a good day for soap fans who miss Pine Valley, as reports indicate that the new โAll My Childrenโ movies are officially moving ahead at Lifetime.
Soap veterans Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who played Hayley and Mateo on โAMC,โ have taken another major step in the process by bringing aboard two well-known daytime writers: former โGeneral Hospital,โ โOne Life to Live,โ and โDays of Our Livesโ head writer Ron Carlivati, along with newly named โThe Young and the Restlessโ co-head writer Jamey Giddens.

Lifetimeโs โAll My Childrenโ Movies Take Another Major Step Forward
Jamey Giddens recently took to Instagram to celebrate the exciting news with fans, revealing that he and veteran soap writer Ron Carlivati have been tapped to write the first of two planned โAll My Childrenโ reunion movies for Lifetime.
“I’ve been booked and busy in 2026,” Giddens wrote. “Before I received the life-changing offer to co-head write @youngandrestlesscbs, Andrew Stearn (@redcoatroad), the @agnesnixonamc estate, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos tapped @carlivatiron and me to write the first of two planned All My Children reunion movies for @lifetimetv! God is good. All. The. Time. #AllMyChildren.”
Carlivati also shared his excitement on social media.
โSo excited to share this news! Thanks to Andrew Stearn, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini and the Agnes Nixon estate for entrusting @Jamey_Giddens and me with the first two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime! Stay tuned!โ he wrote.
The news quickly spread throughout the daytime television community.
โGHโ stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson also shared the announcement on their Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages, noting that, according to โDaytime Confidential,โ veteran television producer Andrew Stearn personally selected Carlivati and Giddens to write the first two films.
The continuation movies will be produced through Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelosโ Milojo Productions, with Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) and Eva LaRue (Dr. Maria Santos) reportedly attached to star. Ripa and Consuelos have also teased that theyโll reprise their fan-favorite roles as Haley and Mateo Santos.
